Some mornings there are simply things that bring me great satisfaction and today it is my “Aerolatte“. I kept thinking I needed this expensive coffee maker with a frother and what I needed was just so small, simple and perfect. Just a little treat to share today.

They came, they saw, they awed at the Cepheid booth this July in Atlanta. Tuesday morning a crowd started gathering, growing to be more than 600 around booth 431. Cepheid unveiled and showing 150 demos at the show. Only those who were there can tell you the real story. Great job Cepheid.

An exciting month for the design to be more studio; working with Cepheid in Sunnyvale, CA on the “Art Meets Innovation” project to launch in July at AACC.

“American Association of Clinical Chemistry and Clinical Lab Expo, to be held in Atlanta, GA. this July 24-28. At ‘Art Meets Innovation,’ a Cepheid themed project designed and built by Paul Jr. Designs will be unveiled live alongside Cepheid’s new products. The event will take place at 10am on July 26th at Cepheid booth #431.”

Sunday Rejuvenation

Got to thinking we all are working so hard to keep up with the rat race. We work for a better life. We work for surviving in today’s economy. We work to provide for our family. We work for self-gratifications. We work 10, 12, 14+ hour days and that adds up. It seems like 9 to 5 is just in the movies.

So when the weekend comes around we try so hard to fit in everything we couldn’t do during the week. It is like we are working again. And for me I almost start to become anxious if I sit still for even a minute. I feel like there is “something” I am supposed to be doing or yet again, working on.

When I was growing up in New England I was always bummed when stores would be closed on Sunday. I use to think that was weird… again the need to check off some tick box for the day or work on the next thing.

But maybe that is a good thing and we should have at least one day out of the week to slow down=rejuvenation. Don’t answer the phone. Spend time with family. Spend time rejuvenating with oneself. And maybe Sunday is the only day we can allow ourselves to tune out the work.

So, if you can take advantage of it: let Sunday be your day. It is okay to sit still. It is okay to not check anything off your list that day. It is okay not to answer that work email or answer the phone. Rejuvenation in even the smallest and simplest way is needed. Monday will be here before you know it

A nice relaxing weekend hiking brought us to “buddy”. The beauty of opening your eyes to see what is around. I welcome down town relaxing and hiking. I hope you can find that same too.
